I have always been passionate about music, and started teaching to inspire and enable other people to enjoy their own music and find fulfillment. After 20 years of teaching, and noticing how much I enjoyed being with and enabling the most complex students to play the violin, I decided to extend my experience and undertake a Masters in Music Therapy. I have been privileged to work with the most amazing children and adults, as I shared their musical journey. I qualified as a Music Therapist in 2014, and am fully insured to work as both a teacher and a therapist. I am registered as an Arts Therapist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), Registration No. AS15010, and abide by their Code of Conduct. I carry out my work under the professional supervision of an HCPC-registered supervisor and personal therapist. I help clients to use the power of their own music for healing, be it in residential care (group sessions) or for individuals in their own homes or at a local venue. I have worked with clients aged 3 to 93, and look forward to sharing many more journeys as we explore music together. I have seen how music therapy can change, enhance and sometimes even transform the lives of people who wish to embrace it. If you think I might be able to help you, or someone in your care, please contact me via this website, by email or phone.
